osspd-alsa software package provides OSS Proxy Daemon: ALSA backend (experimental), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install osspd-alsa
osspd-alsa is installed in your system.
Make ensure the osspd-alsa package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep osspd-alsa *
You will get with osspd-alsa package name, version, architecture and description in a table
